lovin' the snow

Last winter we got nothin.' None...no snow. I was so disappointed. This year has made up for it though. And...it just so happens that we have a great hill at our new crib to enjoy it to the fullest. The kids have LOVED IT! I have puddles of water in my back hallway from all of the in and out, dripping boots, overalls, hats, gloves, etc. But...it's worth it. We have all jumped in on the fun. :) And...it is just so pretty. I had to get some pictures of just the landscape of what I get to wake up to in my winter wonderland.

This is a big thank you to my husband who cuts all this so I get to enjoy the fire inside. :)
Awwww...just love the look of that. It is my favorite spot to sit.
She was fearless this year and never complained of being cold. Had an absolute blast!
They were pretty brave themselves. Payton was cautious, but Kaden was loving the possibilities the snow offered after being just cooped up inside.
She just enjoyed kicking around in it.
One of her million trips down, down, down the hill.
Kaden with his favorite disc...he is so light that he just scooted across the surface. :)
Daddy helping Pay Pay enjoy it!!
Our 'attempt at a snowman...we need help! haha! Or a momma with more patience. :)
Aunt Dani even tried to help.
Kaden gearing up for for his trek down the hill. :)
Keith going for it...yikes!
Snow in the face. :/
Worst part about going down, was bringing the sled back up.
A little glove assistance.
Kylie came over another day and enjoyed what was left of the snow. They weren't going to let any of it go to waste.

Olympics in the Park!

My friend Jill put together a super creative idea for A LOT of mommas and kids. Because so many of us have been tuned into the Olympics and what is happening, we thought it would be good to get the kiddos in on the action and to take part in a small way. It was a great day with lots of sunshine and fun for the kids.

Mass chaos CAN happen with this many kids, but it went very smoothly I thought...and I can roll with chaos too. ;) The kids were excited so they were ready to listen and get going! Here they are gathered waiting on the rules and where to go...

Kaden's first stop was the 'egg on a spoon.'
He was so proud of himself!
Payton wanted in the action before her turn.
 Jill with Kade. :)
Jamie came prepared...I never could find one of those slings that I liked.

Adders waiting at the bean bag toss.

Two of my favorites.

 Then to some water bombs!

 Kaden especially enjoyed this. :)

 The last field fun....WATER BALLOONS!

 Scrambling for more!

Photo op! Chelsey came and joined us while were there...which allowed me to actually be in some pics. That never happens.

Then we had an 'Awards Ceremony.' Their medals were donuts! Along with some juice.

 Kaden loved that reward!

Little Kash was loving Jill's necklace.
Before we left for some naps, Adders wanted a bit of playground fun.
It was so nice to get out and away from all the house demo and remodeling going on!!
