payton ~ 9 months

Payton Joy...
At 9 months you...
  • are finally eating some sweet potatoes! Yay! You will actually eat some squash, corn casserole or green beans made by mommy...not the baby food green beans. But--I don't blame you on that one! You don't like fruit...at least from a baby food jar. I have tried many kinds, but I think it is too sweet for you. You will eat cut up bananas and cut up strawberries though...and even suck on an orange that we give you. So...you have been our cheapest baby so far...because we are not buying much baby food. :)
  • are still loving crawling around...everywhere! We are amazed at how fast those little legs can carry you. :)
  • have taken a few steps!! You are eager to walk! You let go of things and stand for very long periods and then will take a couple steps. You will also walk between people if we are close enough for you. I wonder how close walking will be for you?!?
  • love climbing the stairs to mommy and daddy's room...as the pic shows. You think you are awesome!
  • continue to love being outside. If you are ever fussy, all I have to do is step outside and your mood instantly changes! You love looking up at the sky. :)
  • love playin' in the hose, baby pool, slip 'n' slide...anything that involves water.
  • wave all the time at people now...even without being prompted to.
  • love going places and changes of scenery. You are so good when we go shopping, to the zoo, grocery, etc. You just enjoy watching people and checking out new things. :)

father's day 2011

We sure do love our Daddy around here and want to make him feel special whenever we can. We love him very  much and are so thankful for all he does for us. This is a pic of the card the kids gave their daddy this year.

I just love seeing Addison's writing on the front. :)
We also got him some swimming trunks, a shirt...and lots of hugs and kisses.

cora's baby pics

Little Cora is 4 months now...so these are a little 'dated' now. But...had to share a few of the sweet little girl. :)

Sweet, sweet baby.

danielle's senior pics

The model sister Danielle has finally graduated..what is up with everyone growing up so fast! I always hate hearing this phrase...but I seriously changed her diapers. :) Now she is off to college!
Her big part-aaaay was a few weeks ago. So happy for her! She came over a couple different times and we went out to get some pictures...fun and hilarious times. She is so stinkin pretty that she kind of made my job a piece of cake!

Congrats to the graduate! Love you, Dani. :)

slip 'n slide fun

The slip n slide my Dad got Kaden for his birthday has been a hit around here. We have had to bust it out a few times with these warm temperatures...and fun it was/is! :)
Addison runs full force and slides away!

 everything in the mouth
 cuties
 stayin' cool in the water
a kiss for his baby sister. :)

She loved sitting in the water!

 Sisters. :)
Kaden got some pool time in as well.
 And...putting grass in her mouth...ugh!
Without staying wet in the water, it was just about unbearable to be outside. Even mommy and daddy joined in on the fun a little later. Big thank you to Mimi and Papaw for bringing some more fun to our back yard. We sure do spend a lot of time out there!

tool man kaden

Kaden is loving the little workbench that his daddy bought for him. He thinks he is big stuff getting to use a hammer. :) He does a great job hitting the pegs, but likes to have help with it most of the time. Here is the little man himself...even following the safety rules with his hat that he went and got all by himself.
The hat makes me laugh. :)
Working away.

shuckin' corn

Summer is here and the Broady's love 'em some corn. And the Broady kids love shucking it! I got some pictures of them on the front porch helping their Mama get it ready to cook.
Addison does a pretty good job with it.
Kaden needs some help getting it started. :)

Pulling off the little hairs...or "hers" as he calls them.
 Waiting to go back inside.
Finally! Love that he could see the process of preparing it. Yum, yum. :)
