payton ~ 10 months

Payton Joy...

...at 10 months you...
  • have started taking only one nap now. Some days you still take two, but can get by on one. You have been going down at the same time as your brother, which has given mommy some time to actually get some things done! :)
  • are starting to really holler when you wake up in the mornings or from your nap. You will still play in your bed until we come get you, but you definitely let us know that you are awake and ready to be rescued! :)
  • are cuddling more and more with us. Daddy will tell you to lay down on his shoulder and you just lay your little head down right away. So sweet.
  • have really taken to a lamb that your Great Aunt Tracy gave you last Christmas. You love to carry it around and we have been giving it to you when you go to sleep. You grab on to that thing for dear life! Makes us laugh! You also like hugging (or attacking) Curious George too!
  • will lay down on the floor with your blanket and watch tv...you just started this.
  • love eating graham crackers...following in your sibling's footsteps.
  • are eating a lot better now. You still prefer to feed yourself as opposed to us feeding you something from a spoon, but you will eat a larger variety of things. Bananas still seem to be your absolute favorite.
  • are such a little 'girl' and not a baby it seems. You are becoming more and more independent just walking around the whole house playing with toys and your brother and sister. You follow them everywhere! I love being a mom and watching my kiddos daily...so thankful I am only working part time and am able to spend most of my time doing what I love!

4-H Fair

I love that I can actually let the kiddos see some real animals...instead of just reading about them in a book. That is one of the main reasons I like to go to the 4-H fair each year. We skipped it last year because I was preggo with Payton, and not able to do much walking...with my 'wonderful' pregnancies. But I definitely wanted to go this year. We called up Chels and had her meet us there. I knew she could not dare miss a night out with the Broady's!!
 Getting loaded up.
 Ready to go. :)
Quick family pic...thanks to Chels.

Then on to the animals!!!!
Don't think he liked me taking his picture! He closed his eyes!! Ha!

Little Pay-Pay just checking things out from the stroller.
 Rabbits.
 Rabbits.
 And...more rabbits.
 Rows and rows of hens.
One of the ugliest things ever...
...Kaden thought so too. He didn't know what that thing was!
 Adders checking out a turkey.

When we got to these guys, the smell was awful!! We are definitely city people I guess.
Chelsey couldn't handle it!! :) She said she wasn't going to make Payton suffer any more. She took her out and left us...ha!
 Father and son.
One of the greatest things ever!
Instead of just getting a snow cone or shaved ice and telling them your flavor...
...you actually got to do it yourself. :)
 They were lovin' it.
 Yum!
This was a great thing to eat in the heat...because it sure was hot!

A good night out and some fun was had. :)

happy 4th of july!

Our 4th of July was spent at Camp Legacy this year...at least mine and Payton's. :) Daddy took Addison and Kaden to the Broady fireworks extravaganza. So...since I knew we would not be together...I grabbed some pics of the kiddos early. :)
 Take 1
 Take 2
Take 3
 Take 4
Take 5

It always takes a few times...doesn't it?!? Funny thing...our neighbor across the street saw me taking pics of the kiddos and came over with their camera to get some pics as well. We have AWESOME neighbors...they love our kids and are just the kindest people. They say all the time what a joy it is to look out their window and see them playing, riding on their bikes, watering the flowers...said it is a flashback to when they had their kiddos just about as close together as we have ours. She tells me all the time to ENJOY it because it goes so fast.

So, I have some pics of the kids and so do the neighbors. :)
