christmas in pigeon forge

What a fun place this time of year...literally every business and restaurant had some form of decorations or lights. The LIGHTS were amazing. The last night there we went to dinner and then drove around and looked at the lights...everywhere! The main street in Pigeon Forge highlighted the 12 Days of Christmas by having lights displaying images of each of the days. We only captured a couple due to not wanting to cause a wreck for us or others. There were cars stopped everywhere with people hanging out their windows with cameras...too funny. Of all nights for me to leave my good camera back at the resort! We had what I call the "dumb camera" with us. Ugh! It takes horrible images at night. But Keith actually has a pretty good camera on his phone that we used for many of these.

On a side road, there were some displays lit up of nursery rhymes...Hey Diddle Diddle, Humpty Dumpty...got us all in a nursery rhyme mood...I couldn't resist just busting out in song for some of them. :)

And...they had an area called Patriot Park...so cool. So much history. It was decorated with thousands of lights. Addison got a little history lesson as we looked at the many different things they had lit up...the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, American Flag, army tanks, fighter jets, etc. This was an incredible tribute to those who have fought for the freedom of our country...so grateful.

This was our interesting find...there had to have been some great design and architecture that went in to this.
We just sat and looked at it for awhile...everything was completely upside down...as Addison pointed out for all of us. :) ...all of the doors, windows, and even the palm trees. Very interesting.

  1. I love it there this time of year too! We haven't made it there in a few years, but looks like you guys had a great time! I had to show your pics of that upside down place to Nick! We think that place is so neat looking and seem to get into long discussions about it when we go there. lol.
